Terms of Sale

These terms apply when you use arcanaportrait.com or buy from us. Please read them before you order. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or the consumer laws of your own country.

1. Who we are

Arcana Portrait, ABN 20 997 154 827, is an online business based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Contact us at hello@arcanaportrait.com.

2. What we make

We create personalised illustrated cards inspired by tarot, using AI, from your photo or description and your answers to our questions. Each card is an artistic interpretation. Your card and "Your card, explained" are decorative art for fun and reflection. They are not a tarot reading or advice of any kind, including medical, psychological, financial or legal advice.

3. Your free preview

Before you buy, you see a free watermarked preview of your card, and you can try another version. Please check your preview carefully: what you buy is the card in your preview, without the watermark. Because every card is an artistic interpretation, we can't guarantee an exact likeness or that every detail will be as you imagined.

4. Your photo and content

You must be 18 or older to make a purchase.
Only upload photos of yourself, or of someone who has given you permission. If a photo includes a child under 18, you must be their parent or legal guardian.
Don't upload anything unlawful, sexually explicit, hateful or offensive, or anything that infringes someone else's rights.
You keep ownership of your photo. You give us permission to use it only to create and deliver your card, as explained in our Privacy Policy.
We may decline an order, and refund any payment, if content breaks these rules.

5. Prices and payment

All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and are shown before you pay. We are not registered for GST, so no GST is charged.
If you pay in another currency, your bank may charge conversion or international fees.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
Shipping for printed keepsakes is calculated at checkout and shown before you pay.
If a price is clearly wrong because of an error, we will contact you before processing your order, or refund you in full.

6. Digital products

Your Digital pack, Digital card or Printable greeting card is available to download straight after payment and is also emailed to you.
Your download link works for 2 years. Please save your files somewhere safe.
Personal use: you may print your card, frame it, use it as a wallpaper, share it on social media and give printed copies as gifts.
You may not sell, license or use your card commercially, or use it to train AI.
We keep all rights in our designs, templates, layouts and the Arcana Portrait brand.
We will never use your card in our marketing without your permission.

7. Instant delivery and cancellation

Digital products are delivered immediately. At checkout you ask us to deliver your downloads straight away and acknowledge that once they are delivered, you can't cancel your order for change of mind. If you are in the UK or the European Union, this means your 14-day right to cancel ends once your download is available. This does not affect your rights if something is wrong with your order (see section 10).

8. Printed keepsakes

Printed keepsakes are printed on demand by our partner Printful. Our Shipping and Returns page explains delivery, tracking and what to do if something arrives damaged.

9. Gift vouchers

Gift vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase, and the expiry date is shown on the certificate.
They can be used across more than one order until the balance runs out. You can check your balance at arcanaportrait.com/balance.
Vouchers can't be exchanged for cash, except where the law requires it.
Please keep your code safe: anyone who has the code can use it.

10. Refunds and problems with your order

Because every card is personalised and made just for you, and you see a free preview before buying, we don't offer refunds for change of mind.

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If your download doesn't work, files are missing, or a printed item arrives damaged, faulty or not as described, contact us and we will fix it, replace it or refund you. Our Shipping and Returns page explains how.

11. Our responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss. Where the law allows us to limit our liability, it is limited to resupplying the product or refunding the price you paid. Nothing in these terms excludes any guarantee or right that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Our website

We work hard to keep our site running smoothly, but we can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. We may change, update or stop offering products at any time. This won't affect orders you have already placed.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on our site when you place your order applies to that order.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. If you are a consumer living outside Australia, you also keep the protection of any mandatory consumer laws of your country.
